What is ERC-721?
ERC-721 is the standard for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on EVM chains, where every token has a unique ID and can carry its own metadata.
ERC-721 defines ownership, transfer, and approval per token ID, plus an optional metadata extension returning a URI for each token. Gaming items, collectibles, and membership passes commonly use it.
